The official notice….
….sent to some close friends this morning:
First of all, I’m sure that Miss Kerry would like me to tell you that, if you had been reading my blog and paying attention (and apparently had ESP), this would not be news to you, but…..
We’re having a baby! It’s all good this time–I’m at 12 weeks and 1 day and we just had the ultrasound this morning and everything looked great. Well, other than the fact that we apparently have a very stubborn child who refused to move the way the tech wanted him/her to (leading to much poking and prodding of me!). We’re due March 3, 2009 and they tell me that I should actually start feeling like a human being again next week.
No, we don’t know if it’s a boy or a girl yet and yes, we will find out.
Yes, it’s all out in the open right now–although a few people knew (or like my perceptive friend, Miss Kerry, figured it out). My Studmuffin is supposed to be telling his family and my mom is doing the dirty work on my side of the family. Since I don’t want to bore the few people who read my other blog with baby details, I shall limit my family life news and venting to the Otter’s Den.
And, so far so good! I only feel like a zombie sometimes now (instead of all the time, as I did a few weeks ago. Weeks 9-11 were brutal!) and, after this week, I think I’m officially in my second trimester. I can’t figure out exactly when the trimesters turn…oh well!
So, welcome to the Otter’s Den. You can see that I’ve stocked up the blogroll with other Mommy Blogs that I like–and I will gladly add more when I find them. I promise no disgusting details about pregnancy, but all bets are off when diaper changing time comes around! Of course, comments and advice are welcome–although I can’t promise that I will take all advice. I’m just stubborn that way.
